About the Owner
Georjean Hübner is the owner of "Living Transitions", a service that has been providing help and support to senior adults making transitional moves since 1998. She is also known as a public speaker throughout the Austin community and University of Texas on the topics of downsizing moves and stress management. Her articles on these topics have been published in the Occupational and Physical Therapy Forums.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois and certification as a Stress Management Specialist. Her focus was psychology and aging, with over 30 years experience working in Health Care. Her work experience includes the development of the Geriatric Occupational Therapy for St. David's Hospital in Austin and provision of Home Health Care Services. She also worked as a Stress Management Specialist for the Austin Stress Clinic and Texas Neurological Rehabilitation Center. In addition to "Living Transitions" move coordination, Georjean is a Professional Organizer of homes and small businesses.
Her background in both the medical and organizing fields allows her to not only provide moving services, but to also assess the functional and emotional needs of each client. A later life move is not just another move. Georjean brings a caring approach in attending to all details to create a positive experience during this physical and emotional transition.
